Can I freeze my card?
Yes, instantly and as often as you like. Open the Cards tab and tap Freeze. All new payments are blocked from that moment, including through Apple Pay and Google Pay. Tap again to unfreeze, and your card works again right away, same number, same details, nothing to replace.
Freezing is useful whenever something feels off: you misplaced your card or phone, you spot a transaction you do not recognize, or you simply want spending paused for a while.
Note that freezing blocks new payment authorizations. Payments already approved before the freeze will still complete, and refunds still arrive normally.
If you suspect fraud rather than a misplaced card, freeze first, then contact us at support@eliospay.com straight away.
What should I do if I see an unauthorized transaction?
Freeze your card first. Open the Cards tab and tap Freeze; this instantly blocks any further payments, including through Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Then contact us at support@eliospay.com as soon as possible with the transaction details: merchant name, amount, and date, all visible in your card transaction history. The sooner you report it, the faster we can act.
We will investigate with our issuing partner and guide you through the dispute process. Where a transaction qualifies, disputes and chargebacks follow the Visa network's rules, which provide established protections for unauthorized card payments.
One more step worth taking: if you think your card details leaked, for example after using it on a suspicious site, keep the card frozen while we investigate. Payments made with Apple Pay or Google Pay use device-specific numbers, so they remain safe even if your card number was compromised.
Can I set spending limits?
Not yet, but it is coming. During beta, every card has a monthly spending limit of $20,000, and you can track your usage against it in real time from the Cards tab.
In a future version, you will be able to set and adjust your own limit to whatever suits you, whether that is lower for peace of mind or higher for bigger purchases.
In the meantime, if you want to pause spending entirely, freezing your card takes one tap and works instantly, as often as you need.
